Forest Killarney Football Club’s Skills Development Programs is open to boys and girls from U9-U14. The program is run by qualified coaches with experience delivering the FFA curriculum and is suitable for all skill levels.
This exclusive training regime focuses on individual skills and ball control and is aimed at building player confidence and ability to allow players to achieve their best.
This is an excellent program to supplement players weekly team training and players may join either individually or can choose to attend as part of a team. Players will be split according to age although some Div1 players may play up a level if appropriate.
This 6 week program will run on Friday evenings during Term 3 at the following times:
4.30-5.30pm – U9-U10 boys (coached by Josh Ward)
5.30-6.30pm – U11-U12 boys (coached by Josh Ward)
W9-W11 girls (coached by Heidi van Weeren)
6.30-7.30pm – U13-U14 boys (coached by Josh Ward)
W12-W14 girls (coached by Heidi van Weeren)

Josh Ward has over 6 years experience as a coach and has played rep football for 14 years. He specialises in ages 6-16 technical development, tactical development awareness and football fitness. Josh holds FFA Senior Certificate I & II and FFA Senior Coaching Licence as well as a Masters in Coaching Science. Josh has been coaching FKFC teams for the last couple of years and is also the key coach of FKFC’s School Holiday Football Camps.
Heidi van Weeren is a passionate and driven coach who is keen to apply her combined experience as a player and coach to club environment. She is focused on building a positive, competitive environment through continuous player development and progression of young talent to ensure players are able to fulfil their potential. Heidi is equipped with a diverse set of skills from her exposure of over 2 decades at a local, representative, state and national level. Throughout this time not only has Heidi been exposed to the highest level of coaching, she has also delivered coaching courses through representative gala days and football holiday camps.
