Announcing FKFC Members Day 2021
FKFC is excited to invite all members to Melwood for some fun and festivities on the 22nd May 2021. FKFC is looking to celebrate football across the club starting with our fantastic U6’s in the morning and finishing with our Men’s AL1’s under lights. The AL1 first grade side will be wearing a special charity jersey for the night thanks to a number of sponsors for the event.
Fundraising across the day will raise money for Neuroblastoma Australia as Club President (Giuseppe Guerrera) and Secretary (Chris Lynch) prepare for Trek2Cure 2021. Neuroblastoma is a debilitating cancer impacting children between 0-5 years old with patients impacted by aggressive tumours only 50% of patients surviving the treatment.
Trek2Cure will see Giuseppe and Chris walk around 100km on the Larapinta Trail from Alice Springs to Mount Sonder. Profits from this trek will go directly towards a research project led by Dr Zsuzanna Naga aimed to provide a less toxic and more effective treatment for the children impacted by this deadly cancer. Donations can be made directly on the fundraising page for the charity https://neuroblastoma-
The FKFC Members days will include entertainment for the kids with jumping castles, face painting and other fun football related activities and prizes. The canteen will be providing some special menu items throughout the day including Lynchy’s brisket burgers that were a favourite across summer football.
FKFC have launched a raffle to support the fundraising, the major prize winners will be announced on the day. All raffle prizes are donations for the charity from the community and all prizes will be updated on the FKFC website. We are still looking for prizes or vouchers from the community please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to help. FKFC will be asking all teams to help selling raffle tickets for the charity and these will be handed out to managers.
Please keep an eye on the FKFC website for more details. We will be monitoring the current advice from the NSW government to ensure that we can have as many members as possible joining us on the day.
